WEYBURN – Richard Wick and Bruno Tuchscherer of the Knights of Columbus Weyburn Council 1731 presented donations to two Weyburn charities this week.
These were some of the proceeds from the bingo regularly held by the Knights at McKenna Hall.

A cheque for $1,000 was presented to Myron Fletcher of the Weyburn Care-A-Van Society. The Knights are a supporting agency of Care-A-Van, and normally donate $500 a year, with the decision made to double that support for this year.

The two Knights representatives also presented a donation of $300 to Jamie Blunden, board chair for the Canadian Mental Health Association’s Weyburn centre, as Tasha Collins, executive director of CMHA, looked on.

The CMHA board will put the donation towards a new washer and dryer used at the CMHA building on Ashford Street.
