Radville 4-H Club hosts District 7 public speaking contest

The District 7 4-H speeches were held in Gladmar on March 10, hosted by the Radville 4-H Beef Club and six clubs sent representatives to attend this event.

WEYBURN – The District 7 4-H speeches were held in Gladmar on March 10, hosted by the Radville 4-H Beef Club.

District 7 is comprised of 11 clubs, and six of these clubs sent representatives to attend this event.

Judges for speeches were Brandy Fettes, Emma Scott, Tannis Axten and Tiffany Pomarenski.

Top speaker from this level will advance to Regional 4-H speeches in Estevan on March 16. 

Results were as follows in the various categories:

For Cloverbuds: first place went to Eva Muxlow (Radville Beef Club); second was Madeline Cascagnette (Lomond Light Horse Club); third was Riley Wilson (Pangman-Ogema Beef and Sheep Club).

For the Junior category: first place went to Bella Roysum (Soo Line Light Horse Club); second was Briar Howse (Lomond Light Horse Club); third was Jaydin Heidinger (Lomond Beef Club).

For Intermediate: first place went to Amy Fradette (Pangman-Ogema Beef and Sheep Club); second was Ava Hodgson (Soo Line Light Horse Club); and third was Emilee Frischholz (Radville 4-H Beef Club).

For the Senior category, first was Heidi Fradette (Pangman-Ogema Beef and Sheep Club); second, Payton Caldwell (Brokenshell Multiple Club); and third, Jory LaBatte (Radville Beef Club).
