Grade 1 students in teacher Nancy Smoliak's class at Assiniboia Park School reach out to try and touch one of the new hatchlings on a paper mat spread out in their classroom on Apr. 17.

Six miles north of Carlyle on Highway 9, members of the Carlyle RCMP, Carlyle Fire department and EMS responded to a northbound Chevrolet truck that had driven off the road and came to rest in a slough on April 17.

The water supply for the City of Weyburn is safer than it's ever been, due in part to measures taken by the city after a recent precautionary boil-water advisory had been in place for a few weeks, city council was told at their Apr. 10 meeting.

Philippe Tessier, born December 26, 1925, late of Radville, passed away March 30, 2012 at the age of 86 years.

Ernest Frederick Walter, late of Weyburn, passed away April 7, 2012, at the age of 89 years.
