A lunch was held at Memorial Hall May 16 in honour of the new addition of the Carlyle history book. The lunch began at 11:30 a.m. With several fresh choices of soup, sandwiches and desserts available for purchase.

Students at Gordon F. Kells High School celebrated their mothers on May 11 by bringing them to a pancake breakfast organized by the Teen Council. Members of the Teen Council did everything from shopping for groceries to cooking the meal.

The Carlyle Detachment of the RCMP responded to a total of 74 calls in the week of May 4 to May 10. Calls on the 4th began with an alarm response to the community of Arcola.
