Occasionally I get a good laugh from a news item. I don't mean those cynical snickers or unenthusiastic guffaws resulting from a clever cartoon. I mean a really funny bit of news that doesn't demean anyone else.

Obscure or not, 'perfect' is forever

I was wrong

When I related the massive four day dump of raw sewage from the Carlyle sewage lagoons into the "poor little creek" and down into the Alameda Resevoir in a previous letter to the editor in the Friday, March 23 edition of the Carlyle Observer, I state

Monday April 16, 2012, marked the second day of karate instruction in Kisbey. A weekly event now held on Mondays at the Kisbey Recreational Centre from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thirty-three people signed up to partake with great interest.
