The anti-bullying Pink Day was a huge success.

On May 1 the Arcola chapter of Students Against Drinking and Driving (SADD) partnered with P.A.R.T.Y. (Prevent Alcohol and risk-Related Trauma in Youth) to put on a day of information for grades 10 to 12 in Arcola.

The Pearl Boutique hosted Customer Appreciation Days, May 1 and 2. The store held these days in appreciation of the ongoing support Carlyle and area has given them.

As Mother's Day approaches, I am sitting here trying to think of how to describe everything my mother and grand-mothers have done for me. As a kid I was always a momma's girl, and to this day I still am.

Huntington Disease (HD) is a hereditary genetic disorder that attacks a person's brain. The Huntington Society of Canada states that approximately 10,000 Canadians have HD, while about 1 in 1,000 are affected.

Deane Buchan of Stoughton, SK, has always loved music. He first began playing the trumpet at the age of eight for the Arcola and District Band.

Increased water levels will allow for better recreation opportunities at Kenosee Lake in Moose Mountain Provincial Park.

The Carlyle Detachment of the RCMP responded to a total of 49 calls between April 20 and 26th. A pair of speeding tickets was issued first thing on the 20th.
