It was a tough Christmas

If ever there was a tough Christmas, at least for a lot of us, it will be Christmas 2020. I won’t really miss the work involved in putting up and taking down the tree but that’s only because no one can come to share its beauty with us.

Alameda School’s first online auction a huge success

From Nov. 24-27, the Alameda School Community Council (SCC) held its first-ever online auction. The auction was used to replace the annual open house raffle which, due to COVID, could not be hosted this year.

It’s really quite simple

“Well, it looks like it will be him and me around the tree,” the woman said pointing to her husband with a smile. “We’ve done it before, we can do it again,” she explained as we talked about Christmas plans.

COVID-19 needs a more objective approach

As we approach Christmas, Saskatchewan remains caught in the middle of an epicentre of rising COVID-19 cases. To the east of us, Progressive Conservative Premier Brian Pallister announced Manitoba’s lockdown measures will extend past Christmas.
