A bridge not too far

A fire that started just prior to midnight on June 29 destroyed the popular hamburger stand that had operated as Ogy’s just outside the White Bear Resort for the past 20 years plus. The alarm was called in at 12:20 a.m.

Oxbow will be opening its outdoor pool soon. With Phase 4.1 of the Re-Open Saskatchewan Plan now underway, the outdoor pools are allowed to get back to operating while following the regulations.

Highway #13 between Stoughton and Carlyle is undergoing some regular maintenance and repairs, which should be completed before the end of June of this year, depending on weather.

Farr Air opened its doors in 2000, flying a Weatherly 620B aircraft out of Lewvan.

SARCAN recycling centres reopened on Tuesday, June 16 and most are dealing with long line-ups, after being closed since March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Prairie Dog Drive-In movie theatre was host to the 2020 Carlyle grad students on Thursday, June 18. The evening was organized by Emily Bouchard and was attended by the graduating class, parents and others.

Congratulations to GFK Class of 2020 Local Scholarship winners. The Vera Mowat-Shirley Scholarship of $1000 each went to JC Tinio and Tori Chapman. The SECPSD Scholarship of $200 went to JC Tinio.

The majority of our pot-banging neighbourhood population voted to end our nightly ritual.
