“Education is a social endeavour,” That statement was made by the South East Cornerstone Public School Division’s Director of Education, Lynn Little near the end of a half-hour interview on June 22.

The following letter was submitted by the Crescent Point Leisure Complex Board and the Town of Carlyle in regards to this season’s status on the pool.

Over the past 114 years, the Arcola Fair has overcome many challenges and this is no different. This summer, we will not be hosting a 2020 Arcola Antique Ag Daze, but we are looking forward to hosting everyone in 2021.

Charles Allan Maitland, late of Fillmore, SK and formerly of Kisbey, SK passed away June 12, 2020 at the age of 88 years. Charles was predeceased by his parents, Edith and Arthur Maitland; his wife, Pat Maitland; and his brothers and sisters.

Cassidy Siebert is a registered nurse, who has worked in the emergency room in Arcola Health Centre.

Golfers from the White Bear Golf Course and Golf Kenosee golfers will duke it out for the Senior Ryder Cup title. The challenge is a team event with 12 players from each Club and two alternates.

The Carlyle Medical Clinic and community of Carlyle will be home to Dr. Mahnaz Eskandary as she develops her practice as a family physician.

On Friday, June 12 the 2020 Manor graduating class took to the streets for a parade. Well-wishers parked along the village’s Main Street to give their regards.

Amid a federal call for a ban on firearms, Bill 194 was amended on Tuesday to better protect the rights of legal firearm and handgun owners in the province.
