A local restoration project has been recognized with a Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan Physical Heritage Conservation Award.

Taking place in Wawota is this year’s version of Wawota’s Haunted Hotel. This event takes place at the Wawota Hotel and this is the fourth year it has been held. The Haunted Hotel committee is chaired by President Kayla Porter.

It was a proud moment for many in the community of Stoughton last June, when the rainbow Pride Flag was raised high above the Stoughton Central High School.

Creative Tables is a fundraiser for the “Look Good Feel Good” foundation. The organization raises money for woman living with cancer. October is cancer awareness month. Thursday, Oct. 17 was the event’s 12th year, held at Prairie Place in Arcola.

Candidates who were defeated by the Conservatives’ Robert Kitchen in Souris-Moose Mountain in Monday’s federal election had plenty to say about the results, both locally and nationally.
