ESTEVAN — Members of the Estevan Fire Rescue Service were called to a vehicle fire during the Saskatchewan Day long weekend.
The EFRS reports that on Aug. 4 at approximately 1:35 p.m., members were dispatched to the fire in northeast Estevan. Crews responded and quickly extinguished the fire. Damage was contained to the vehicle involved. According to the EFRS, no injuries were reported.
Also during the weekend, on Aug. 2 at approximately 12:30 p.m. the EFRS was dispatched to a residential fire alarm in north-central Estevan. Crews responded and investigated.
Members determined no emergency was occurring. The alarm was due to faulty detectors. Crews ensured repairs were completed and the system was functioning normally.
