An Estevan golfer had a strong showing at the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour national championship in Surrey, B.C., from Oct. 10-12. Jayden Dudas finished fifth in the junior boys division with a three-round total of 226.

Two youths have been charged following an alleged assault in the RM of Estevan earlier this month. In the overnight hours of Oct. 9 and 10, the Estevan RCMP received a complaint of a crash involving a motorcycle.

There are 66 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on Oct. 19, bringing the total to 2,396 cases. Twenty-five new cases are in the Saskatoon region, and 17 are in the north central.

The influenza vaccine is now available to Saskatchewan residents. The Government of Saskatchewan is encouraging everyone to get their flu shot this season to help prevent the spread of influenza.

It might have been a chilly day outside, but the support for the fourth annual Judy Martin Memorial Duck Derby provided some warmth for the Estevan Humane Society (EHS).
