The United Way Estevan has eclipsed its goal for its 44th annual fundraising telethon. A $10,000 donation from former Estevan resident Jeff Sandquist just before 2:30 p.m. pushed the United Way above its goal of $320,000. As of 2:30 p.m.

Update: United Way Telethon surpasses $100,000
The United Way Estevan has surpassed the $100,000 mark for its annual fundraising telethon. The telethon reached six figures Saturday morning just before 10 a.m. The goal is to raise $320,000 by 5 p.m. Saturday evening.
