A new initiative will pay tribute to those from the Estevan area who served their country.

The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) and STARS Air Ambulance have announced that Nick Sereggela of Estevan is the winner of the 2020-21 STARS/SJHL 50-50 lottery. The winner was selected by an automatic number generated system.

There are 219 new cases of COVID-19 and 212 recoveries to report in Saskatchewan on April 5, bringing the provincial total to 34,763 cases. One Saskatchewan resident who tested positive for COVID-19 has died.
