Four residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have died. One new death in the age group 80-plus was reported in the North West zone. One new death in the age group 70-79 was reported in the North West zone.

Santa Claus came to Estevan on Christmas Eve, and he found a fun way to make his way around the city. Santa traded in his sleigh and reindeer for a motorcycle, to the delight of people in the community.

The editor: No one is prepared for pregnancy, parenthood, and most especially, no one is prepared for a worldwide pandemic. I want to start off by expressing our excitement at becoming first-time parents.

Five residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have died. Two deaths in the 70-79 age group were in the Regina zone. Three deaths in the 80+ age group were in the North West (1), Central East (1) and Regina (1) zones.

This can be a difficult time of year for some, and those feelings of loneliness and depression can grow during a pandemic.

While many people are excited about the upcoming Christmas holidays, quite a few of us may feel down since this holiday season will be pretty different from what we are used to.

I feel more confident about the future of Estevan than I did at the start of the year.

The fire department for the Town of Midale and the RM of Cymri has been fundraising for a new fire hall. Laverne Hockey, who is the chief for the department of 14 members, said they have raised about $100,000 already, and their goal is $600,000.
