A talented musician from southeast Saskatchewan is a finalist for a prestigious music honour. Country music singer Tenille Arts of Weyburn is up for New Female Artist of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards.

Midale, Carlyle and Lampman are among 38 communities from across the province entered in the 10th annual Saskatchewan Blue Cross/Saskatchewan In Motion Go Out and Play Challenge. If successful, Carlyle would use the money for a new spray park.

It will look different than in the past, but this year’s Telemiracle fundraiser is happening this weekend in Saskatoon. Kinsmen Kinettes Telemiracle 45 will begin at 9 p.m. on Feb. 27 and wrap up at 5 p.m. on Feb. 28.

There were 5,211 COVID-19 vaccine doses administered Feb. 26 in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 75,501. To date, this is the highest one-day total for vaccine delivery in the province.

Local emergency crews were called to a two-vehicle collision in southeast Estevan on Friday. Members of the Estevan Emergency Medical Services, Estevan Fire Rescue Service and Estevan Police Service were called to the scene.
