Members of the Estevan Police Service are seeking the public’s assistance with a theft that occurred early Wednesday. Police received a call from a local convenience store at approximately 1 a.m. that day.

A candidate for mayor and one for councillor join the race for Estevan city council

There will be an election for mayor in Estevan this fall. Ray Walton filed his nomination papers Wednesday at city hall. He joins the incumbent, Roy Ludwig, in the mayoral race. Walton is looking to be part of city council for the first time.

It was a day long overdue in Saskatchewan. The provincial government launched an online organ and tissue donor registry earlier this month, making it easier for Saskatchewan residents to declare that they want to donate their organs once they die.

The Estevan Oilfield Technical Society (OTS) was able to host a successful Oilmen’s golf event on Sept. 11 at the TS&M Woodlawn Golf Course, but the format was different from previous years. A total of 179 golfers entered.
