On March 2, the Moose Mountain Lions hosted their 3rd annual Winter Carnival. Approximately 100 people enjoyed the pancake breakfast that morning, which ran from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

To mark International Women's Day, the Envision Counselling and Support Centre profiled Mayor Debra Button, a leader, role model and mentor from the Weyburn community. This year's theme for International Women's Day was "Building Leadership Together.

The Weyburn Duplicate Bridge Club had fewer tables playing in February but with the return of some of the snowbirds hopefully there will be more tables in March.

Weyburn Concert Series will welcome the Jesse Peters Trio to the Weyburn Comprehensive School Cafetorium on March 13 at 7:30 p.m. This will be the fifth concert in the 2012-2013 Series.

The very talented members of Cornerstone Theatre have been preparing since mid-January for their annual spring dinner theatre performance which is to be held on April 12, 13, and 14.

The Sun Country Kids Club will be hosting a Bunny Hopp on March 24 in the Cafetorium at Weyburn Comprehensive School. The event will run from noon to 3:00 p.m., with the magic show beginning at 1:30.

Some years ago, a group of dog owners had a brilliant idea: with the beautiful parks that Weyburn boasts, it would be nice and useful to have a place where dogs could roam about off-leash, and be able to socialize with other dogs in a safe and secure

Weyburn residents are reminded to log in their minutes of being physically active, as part of the Saskatchewan and Weyburn in motion's Community Challenge, on from now until Mar. 15.
