An 18-year-old man is facing a variety of charges after resisting arrest June 27.
According to a report from the Estevan Police Service, officers had visited the accused's home on the 27th to arrest him on a breach of conditions charge as well as on warrants from the Regina Police Service. The subject then fled on foot but was later located near his home. The report indicated he resisted when officers took him into custody and is now facing charges of resisting arrest and escaping lawful custody in addition to the other charges.
That same day, the EPS received a complaint that an ATV was being operated within the city. The parents of the responsible persons were spoken to by police and will handle the matter.
Police are also investigating suspicious activity at an apartment complex on the south side of Estevan. Although the matter remains under investigation, the EPS has a suspect and charges are pending.
On June 22 and 23, an 18-year-old male was arrested at the Estevan Fair for having outstanding warrants. Two people were also charged with having open liquor in a public place.
Also, an intoxicated male was picked up by EMTs in front of an establishment on Fourth Street and transported to St. Joseph's Hospital for treatment of a head injury.
