'80s Club Tour coming to Moose Jaw

Nostalgic performances at the Moose Jaw Events Centre Nov. 16.
Honeymoon Suite, Men with Hats, Spoons and A Flock of Seagulls are on the playbill.

MOOSE JAW — The '80s Club is taking four legendary bands from the 1980s on a coast-to-coast tour across Canada with a stop at the Moose Jaw Events Centre Nov. 16. 

Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased online at, by going to the Moose Jaw Events Centre Box Office, or by calling the Moose Jaw Events Centre at 306-624-2050. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the show starting at 7 p.m. 

Honeymoon Suite is a multi-platinum Canadian band from Niagara Falls, Ont., with over a million units sold worldwide. They first hit Canadian radio in the 1980s with sing-along hits including Stay in the Light, New Girl Now, Feel it Again, Wave Babies and 'Burning in Love.

Honeymoon Suite has headlined festivals and toured with April Wine, Billy Idol and Bryan Adams.

Men Without Hats (MWH) is a Canadian new wave and synth-pop band from Montreal, Que. This band has two globally recognized hits in The Safety Dance and'Pop Goes the World.

Recently, the lead vocalist of MWH, Ivan Doroschuk, had the honour of being inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Spoons is a Canadian new wave band from Burlington, Ont. This band has recorded many Canadian chart hits and was nominated for Most Promising Group of the Year at the Juno Awards.

Spoons’ album Arias & Symphonies was named one of the 20 Most Influential Albums of the ‘80s by The Chart Magazine. They brought the Canadian hits Romantic Traffic, Old Emotions and Nova Heart.

A Flock of Seagulls is a Grammy Award-winning English new wave band from Liverpool. Led by singer Mike Score, AFOS has hits like I Ran (So Far Away) and Space Age Love Song. The group is still referenced in pop culture today due to the iconic Flock of Seagulls haircut.
