Cadet Ceremonial Review

The Weyburn Legion Cadet Corps held their 62nd annual Ceremonial Review on May 18 with many of their members earning certificates, medals and trophies.

Members of the Weyburn Legion Cadet Corps displayed the certificates, medals and trophies they received at their 62nd annual Ceremonial Review held on May 18. They are (l-r) MWO Matthew Miskolczi, Cpl Julia Huard, MCpl Alex Huard, Pte Sarah Doud, Cpl Chance Kenway, Rfm Mathew Kot, Cpl Casey Pierce, MCpl Brain Fenwick, Cpl Brandon Fenwick, Rfm Kevin Franklin, MCpl Kyle Wilton, WO Cullen Froese and WO Dave Thue.

The Weyburn Legion Cadet Corps held their 62nd annual Ceremonial Review on May 18 with many of their members earning certificates, medals and trophies.

Master Warrant Officer Matthew Miskolczi received the Royal Canadian Legion Medal of Excellence, LCol H.E. Kempton Bowl for Outstanding Leadership, and the Rick Murray Memorial Trophy for Marksmanship.

Warrant Officer Dave Thue earned the Lord Strathcona Trust Medal; Corporal Julia Huard got the Rick Murray Memorial Trophy for Marksmanship; Warrant Officer Cullen Froese earned the RAD Award for Most Improved Senior NCO; Master Corporal Brain Fenwick got the Captain W. Layh Shield for Best Attendance; and Corporal Casey Pierce received the Esprit de Corps award.

Most Improved Cadet went to Private Sarah Doud and Corporal Chance Kenway. Best First Year Cadet went to Rifleman Kevin Franklin as did Best Dressed Cadet on Parade.

Master Corporal Kyle Wilton received the Royal Canadian Legion President's Trophy for best all-around Cadet and the Tylor Hallberg Memorial Shield for Top Junior NCO.
