Three people have been arrested after the Estevan Police Service conducted a conditions check Thursday.

Members of the Drug/Intelligence Unit and the Criminal Investigation Division conducted a conditions check on a male with the assistance from patrol officers. The conditions check included a search of a residence located in the central part of Estevan.

During the search, one male and one female were taken into custody. As a result, police seized crystal meth and an unknown green substance, which police believe to be fentanyl. The substance will be sent away for further testing.

The police also recovered property that is associated with a recent break and enter and theft from a furniture store that occurred in Estevan in late September.

During the evening hours, a search warrant was obtained for a residence located near central Estevan. A male associated with the residence had been taken into custody prior to the search warrant being executed. He was found to be in possession of an unknown green substance, which again police believe to be fentanyl.

When police executed the search warrant, one female was taken into custody without incident.

Multiple furniture items were recovered from the residence and are believed to be associated with the furniture store theft. A small amount of crystal meth was also seized.

As a result of the investigation, a 29-year-old man from Estevan has been charged with possession of methamphetamine under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and failing to abide by a conditional sentence order. The male will appear in court at a later date.

A 33-year-old man from Estevan has been charged with break and enter, theft over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime exceeding $5,000 and failing to comply with a release condition. He will appear in court at a later date.

A 29-year-old woman from Estevan has been charged with possession of methamphetamine under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. She has been released and will appear in court at a later date.

The investigation is still ongoing and names will not be released at this time.  Further charges are anticipated.
