The Board of Directors for Access Communications Co-operative has announced that Evan Ortynsky has been elected Chair of the Board for 2012.
"On behalf of Access members, I welcome Evan Ortynsky to the position of chair," Past Chair Lynn Chipley said. "As a 100 per cent Saskatchewan-owned co-operative, Access prides itself on its history community stewardship and good governance, and under Evan's leadership, that tradition is in good hands."
A Yorkton resident, Mr. Ortynsky is owner of Key Chevrolet Cadillac (Yorkton) and Yorkton Toyota. He also currently serves as Chair of the Yorkton Economic Development Commission, Co-Chair of the Parkland College Capital Campaign Committee and as a Director with the Yorkton Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Ortynsky is Past Co-Chair of the Health Foundation of East Central Saskatchewan and Past Chair of the Good Spirit Regional Economic Development Authority.
"I am both humbled and excited to accept this responsibility from the membership and Board of Access Communications Co-operative," Ortynsky said. "I look forward to working with the board and executive management to continue our path of growth and to further establish our role as a good neighbour in the communities we are privileged to serve."
The Board also announced that Mr. Nick Coroluick of Weyburn has been elected to the position of Vice-Chair. Mr. Coroluick is Office Manager of Minard's Leisure World in Weyburn. He is a past president of the Weyburn and District United Way and also served as a Councillor for Weyburn City Council for nine years.
