A founding meeting for establishing a new constituency association for the Saskatchewan Party, in keeping with constituency boundary changes, will be held on Saturday, June 1.
The meeting will be held at the Weyburn Travelodge at 7 p.m. All members are invited to attend the founding meeting.
"In the spring session, the Sask. Party added three new seats to the provincial ridings, so this meant that many other constituencies had their boundaries redrawn, including Weyburn-Big Muddy," said Randy Schiller, current president of the Weyburn-Big Muddy Constituency.
During the meeting, the Weyburn-Big Muddy Constituency must be dissolved and reformed, according to the Saskatchewan Elections Act. A new executive must be elected, and a new constitution for a new constituency association must be made.
The New Democratic Party Weyburn-Big Muddy constituency doesn't have a date set yet for a founding meeting.
