No new cases of COVID-19 in the southeast

For the first time since Oct. 2, there are no new cases of COVID-19 in southeast Saskatchewan. According to the daily report released Friday, there were 22 new cases of COVID-19 to report in the province.

For the first time since Oct. 2, there are no new cases of COVID-19 in southeast Saskatchewan.

According to the daily report released Friday, there were 22 new cases of COVID-19 to report in the province. There are five in Saskatoon, four each in the north central and central east, three in the central west, and two each in the far northeast, south central and Regina zones.

The number of cases in the southeast remains at 28. Nine of them are considered active, with eight of the active cases in southeast Zone 4.  

The 22 new cases pushes Saskatchewan’s total to 2,034. There are 139 active cases; about 6.8 per cent are considered active.

Twenty-six more people have recovered, bringing the provincial total to 1,871 recoveries, or about 92 per cent of those diagnosed.

Eight people are in hospital. Six people are receiving inpatient care; four in Saskatoon, one in Regina and one in the southwest. Two people are in intensive care; one in Regina and one in Saskatoon.

There were 2,330 COVID-19 tests performed in Saskatchewan on Thursday.
