The Royal Canadian Legion's Estevan branch had a busy day on Friday, as it presented cheques to six different community organizations.
The legion presented $5,000 to each of Creighton Lodge, the Estevan Regional Nursing Home, St. Joseph's Hospital's long-term care and the new addictions treatment centre at the hospital, and $2,000 to each of SMILE Services and the Estevan Salvation Army's Food Bank.
The money was raised through the legion's bingos and raffles.
