Drivers are reminded to slow down in school zones and obey safety patrols instructions. Those areas will be monitored by officers and any drivers disobeying the patrollers will be ticketed.

A male attended Weyburn Police Service on Sept. 23 and reported that a 47-year-old male was assaulted; the incident is under investigation.

Police responded to a local Group Home on Sept. 22 after a 24-year-old male resident hit a 65-year-old male resident. An officer talked to both men and staff about the incident. The 24-year-old was warned about his actions.

An officer responded to a local apartment building after a tenant's property was damaged on Sept. 22. The 26-year-old male reported that when he answered his door two males and a female entered his apartment. They smashed property and caused damage to the suite and left. Police took a statement and photographs of the damage. The mischief is under investigation.

Police received a call of a child left unattended in a locked vehicle on Thursday, with the vehicle was running. An officer located and spoke to the parent, and she left immediately.

Police received a call about a gas drive-off from a local gas station on Sept. 22. Video footage was reviewed and the theft is under investigation.

Police received a call about a possible impaired driver going through the drive-through at a local restaurant on Sept. 22. An officer located the vehicle and spoke to the driver.

It appeared that the 69-year-old male was tired and some driving actions may have resulted in the complaint. He was warned about his driving.

An officer responded to a complaint of a vehicle sitting in the middle of the street on South Hill on Sept. 23. It appeared that the vehicle rolled out of a driveway and across the street due to a faulty emergency brake. No one was hurt and no charges were laid.

Officers responded to a 9-1-1 call on Wednesday, as a male stated that bottles were being smashed and he hung up. The 24-year-old male homeowner stated that he was having a dispute with another 24-year-old male when he called the police. The second male left after the call was made, and no charges were laid.

On Wednesday, police received a call about a vehicle being cut off by a semi tractor/trailer unit at an intersection. An officer located and spoke to the driver. He denied the allegation and was warned about his driving actions.

A number of youths attended the Weyburn Police Service on Wednesday. They had been at a person's house when an argument occurred between two individuals which ended in a fight. A 19-year-old female was charged for assaulting a 17-year-old female. The 17-year-old female was charged with assault and threatening to use a weapon against the 19-year-old. Both were released to appear in court at a later date.

Police received an anonymous call about an impaired driver on Thursday. An officer on patrol located the vehicle and found that the driver had signs of impairment. He was arrested and transported to the Weyburn police station. After numerous attempts to obtain breath samples the 50-year-old male was charged with impaired driving and refusing to provide breath samples. He was released for court at a later date.

Police responded to a Group Home after a 24-year-old male resident assaulted a 20-year-old female worker on Friday. The male was charged for assault causing bodily harm and is being lodged at Weyburn Mental Health until his court date.

Officers stopped a vehicle that had left a local restaurant on Friday. The 26-year-old female driver showed strong signs of impairment. She was arrested and transported to the Weyburn Police Service. She was subsequently charged with impaired driving and driving while over .08. She was also issued a ticket for driving while suspended due to unpaid traffic fines. She was released and will appear in court at a later date.

Police responded to a noisy party complaint on Saturday. A 20-year-old male was warned about the noise and told that any future complaints would result in a charge.

Police responded to a local business after receiving a complaint of a fight in progress on Saturday. Officers broke up the fight between two males, aged 26 and 28 years old.

There was a small amount of damage to the business but the owner did not want to pursue charges. No charges were laid in the fight.
