The Weyburn and District Hospital Foundation is inviting everyone to the official opening of their premises at 33 Fifth Street on May 24th at 10:00 a.m. MLA Dustin Duncan, along with other community stakeholders, will be in attendance.
This move endorses the fact that WDHF is moving forward raising funds (currently identified over $14.5 million) to be ready with their commitment from the community, when the announcement is made for the new hospital. This venue allows WDHF to offer individuals better access and more privacy to make donations, share stories and answer questions.
The WDHF annual general meeting will be held June 19 at 7:00 p.m. at the Weyburn Credit Union Community Room. Please come and out and show your support.
The WDHF Charity Golf Tournament this year featuring Brendon LaBatte will be held July 16 at the Weyburn Golf Club. There are a few spots left for hole sponsorship and donations of any type for the live and silent auctions are also welcomed.
This event has been a successful fundraiser for the Foundation and additional support would be appreciated to bring the WDHF even closer to obtaining its goal.
The Weyburn Opportunity Road Race in support of the WDHF will be held August 18 with 5k, 10k, 15k races, with the addition of a kid's mini mile for this year. For more information visit weyburnroadrace.com.
There are many ways to get involved, whether it is through taking part or sponsoring events in your community or volunteering. It all helps as we move forward to build a new hospital for Weyburn and the surrounding communities. A new hospital will assist with the recruitment and retention of a stable medical force for our growing and vibrant community.
