Report from the Weyburn Police Service for the week of October 3 to 10: During this reporting period the Weyburn Police Service received 130 calls for service.

The meeting came to order at 7 p.m., business was discussed from previous meetings. All agreed to close the reports and the meeting carried on.

The October sale of Crown petroleum and natural gas rights has brought in $13.1 million in revenue for the province. Total land sale revenues for the 2011 calendar year now stand at $228 million.

The Government of Saskatchewan is providing grants to more than 1,000 volunteer organizations across the province.

Saskatchewan has set an employment record for the month of September and for the seventh consecutive month has the lowest unemployment rate in the country. There were 530,200 people employed in Saskatchewan in September 2011.

A new trade show directed solely at women is about to open with its very first ladies' night.

It was a night for the memory bank. One filled with friends, laughter and inspiration. This year, more than 400 people attended Creative Tables for Cancer, meaning a total of 39 tables decorated in all types of themes.

"Since my Grandma Fleck is currently fighting breast cancer, I wanted my contribution to mean something this year. Usually I will shave my head, but I do keep my hair cut quite short anyway," said Bryan Fleck.
