Family Day is a relatively new holiday - instituted in Saskatchewan in 2007 - but already, there are annual events organized around the February weekend.

On February 15, 2011 at 1:30 pm the Estevan Police Service received a report of a bomb threat at the Estevan Comprehensive School. The Estevan Police Service is at the school and has requested assistance of Estevan Fire and Rescue.
