The Estevan TS&M Tornados grinded their way into the semifinals before losing 10-5 to the host Swift Current Indians at the provincial peewee AA baseball championship on Sunday.

The annual Big Moose Ball Tournament was held this past weekend at the Kenosee Lake and Carlyle ball diamonds. The tournament, which is split between the two communities, saw teams come from as far away as Beulah, North Dakota.

The Weyburn Silver Seals participated in two notable events this summer. The Weyburn Silver Seals Speed Swimming Club hosted their annual swim meet on July 10 for 183 swimmers from across southern Saskatchewan.
