Coming out of the Christmas break, the fourth place Eagle Drilling Estevan Bruins knew if they wanted to have a strong finish to the SJHL season and go deep into the playoffs, they were going to need to turn things in around in a hurry.

The Estevan Sherritt Coal peewee AA Bruins will be moving on to the second round of the Saskatchewan Hockey Association provincials. This comes after the Bruins defeated the Weyburn Youngfellows in both matchups of their two-game, total-goal series.

The Estevan TS&M bantam AA Bruins have been eliminated from provincial title contention after they fell to the Weyburn Crescent Point Wings 6-5 and 8-3 in their two-game total-goal series.

With two straight wins over the Prairie Storm in their two-game total-goal series, the Estevan Apex midget AA Bruins have advanced to the second round of the Saskatchewan Hockey Association provincial playdowns.
