Another curling season has come and gone. The season got off to a slower start than expected as the wet fall resulted in the ice area being flooded. However, our new caretaker, Warren Neuman, took it all in stride.

Maryfield Curling Club celebrated 100 years of curling with its annual bonspiel March 9 to 13. Local curlers along with family and friends from Brandon, Kola, Rocanville, Wawota, Radville, and Elkhorn made up half of the twenty teams.

Club Meeting We had our meeting on January 7, 2011. What a good way to start off the new year! We could be refreshed on what big events are happening and how well the ones in the past went. The next club meeting will be at 7:00 p.

Sports wrap-up with Bruce Penton

The Saskatoon Blades wrapped up their most successful regular season in franchise history on March 19 with a 4-2 victory over the Regina Pats.

The Carlyle Bantam Cougars entered into the semi-final round of play offs against Lampman, with Game #1 on home ice Mar.8th. The Cougars seemed unable to get into this game, allowing Lampman a 3-0 lead after the first period.

The Weyburn Red Wings gathered for one last time Friday night at McKenna Hall in Weyburn. Friday night's banquet was to take the time to visit with family and friends one last time before departing for points across North America.

An Estevan curling team went head to head against some national and world champions at the Master Men's provincial curling championship.

The midget AA Apex Bruins got off to a good start in the second game of their series with Swift Current but couldn't maintain that momentum.
