Members of the Estevan Sharks water polo program were at the Water Polo Provincial League Finals this past weekend in Regina. The 16-and-under (16U) cadet tournament was held Saturday for both boys and girls.

The Bantam Cougars have finished their regular season and finished in 4 th place out of 10 teams in the league. The team played 18 games and won 11, lost 5 games, and tied 2 games and finished with 24 points.

The Carlyle Peewee Cougars have had a great season so far and finished up their regular season in third place behind Redvers and Wawota. They played 18 games this season and won 14, lost 4, ending the season with 28 points.

A team of Special Olympics bowlers from Weyburn took part in the Special Olympics Canada Winter Games in Thunder Bay in the past week, in the five-pin bowling event.

Weyburn Gold Wings goaltender Chloe Burt has signed to play hockey with Dakota College in Bottineau, N.D., for the 2020-21 season. Burt is the starting goalie for the Gold Wings and has played in 20 of their 29 games.
