The Young Fellows Club of Weyburn donated $1,500 to the Weyburn Silver Seals on Thursday evening at the Weyburn Leisure Centre. Members of the Young Fellows presented the cheque to the Silver Seals teams by the outdoor pool.

Panther Drilling Corp. presented the Weyburn Special O Bowling Team with a cheque to help cover the costs for the team's trip to Nationals in Thunder Bay in February. They also gifted them Panther hoodies to wear inbetween games while at the rink.

The 2019 Track Provincials were held in Moose Jaw on Friday and Saturday for students in Midget, Junior and Senior levels.

The Weyburn Beavers returned to Yorkton on Wednesday to face the Cardinals and came away with a 12-4 win. Tonight they started a three-game home series against the Medicine Hat Mavericks and beat them 4-3. Friday's game wil start at 7:05 p.m.

A seven-week program for local youths wrapped up in fine fashion Tuesday night.

Twenty-two members of the Estevan Comprehensive School’s track and field team competed at the Saskatchewan High School Athletics Association’s provincial championships in Moose Jaw on Friday and Saturday.

The Estevan Comprehensive School saluted athletic achievement during the 2018-19 school year during its annual athletic awards night on Tuesday night.

The Free to Be soccer program, which is offered in conjunction with Special Olympics Estevan and the Estevan Youth Soccer Association, wrapped up on Tuesday night at the Panteluk Athletic Field.

The Estevan Comprehensive School (ECS) Elecs football team had a long look at the future of the program during their annual spring camp. Practices were held from June 4-7, and a scrimmage happened June 10.

The Weyburn Beavers swept the Yorkton Cardinals in their three-game series. Tom Laing Park hosted the first game on Friday that saw the Beavers completely dominate the field with an 11-0 win.
