Rayne Michel is only five years old, but she has already found a love for the Saskatchewan Rush. Rayne, who resides north of Bienfait, was selected to be the TD Bank Junior Reporter of the Game for a recent Rush home contest.

Local residents had a rare opportunity to watch players from hockey’s most successful franchise Sunday, when the Montreal Canadiens alumni were at Affinity Place to take on a team of Estevan hockey players dubbed the OSI-Can Bruins.

A mini game was played during the first intermission of Saturday night's game between the Power Dodge Estevan Bruins and the Battlefords North Stars.

The Estevan Apex midget AA Bruins have extended their series with the Notre Dame Hounds to a fifth and deciding game.

The Power Dodge Estevan Bruins were less than a minute away from beating the Battlefords North Stars for the third time in four meetings this season.

Feb. 12 was an exciting night, as it was game 1, of the best of 5 series against the Bienfait Coalers. These two teams are fairly evenly matched and so we all know, that these will be some great games to watch.

An off-season game of curling musical chairs has paid off for at least three Canadian men’s teams as the 2019 Brier approaches this weekend.

Badminton Junior badminton practices are Wednesday and Thursday from 3:30 – 5:00. Senior badminton has also begun. There is no school from February 18-22 due to the Mid-winter Break. Classes resume Monday, February 25.

The South East TS&M midget A Goldwings ran into some hard luck in their Saskatchewan Female Hockey League quarter-final series with the Southwest Cyclones. The Goldwings were eliminated from the postseason after two overtime losses: 2-1 on Feb.
