The Carnduff Red Devils have advanced to the senior B south final in provincial play. Carnduff defeated the Rocanville Tigers 7-2 on Saturday night to win their two-game, total-goal series 11-5.

The Estevan Comprehensive School Elecs senior girls basketball team’s annual Shoot for a Cure tournament tipped off Friday night. The Elecs defeated the Moose Jaw Central Cyclones 77-45 in their opening game of the tournament.

Estevan’s Hunter Chipley has added a silver medal to go with his gold medal at the Canada Winter Games in Red Deer, Alta. Chipley teamed up with Jay Gegner of Regina to win silver in the mixed team recurve competition Friday afternoon.

A former general manager and head pro at the TS&M Woodlawn Golf Club has been hired to be the new general manager of the Royal Regina Golf Club. Royal Regina announced the hiring of Brian Dueck last week. His hiring took Feb. 25.

The Estevan bantam Bearcats saw their season come to an end on Feb. 23 against the Moose Jaw Mavericks, but they still put an early scare into a team that went a perfect 22-0 during the regular season. The Mavericks defeated the Bearcats 6-1 on Feb.
