The Estevan Comprehensive School (ECS) Elecs senior boys basketball team won a tournament for the third time this season when they took top spot at a 12-team tournament at Yorkton Regional High School.

The Power Dodge Estevan Bruins seven-game winning streak came to an end Tuesday night in a 6-5 road loss to the Yorkton Terriers.

The names have been announced for the Montreal Canadiens alumni team that will be in Estevan for a fundraising hockey game Feb. 24. The game starts at 2 p.m. at Affinity Place.

The Weyburn Comp Eagles senior boys and girls teams will be taking on Estevan in the historic McLeod Series, starting at home tonight, Feb. 6. The senior boys will start off the series at 5:30 p.m. with the senior girls playing at 7:30 p.m.

Weyburn Soccer and Sports Camp Canada have joined into a partnership to be able to offer Nike Camps in Weyburn during the February break for children aged six to 12 years.

Seven was a big number for the Power Dodge Estevan Bruins on Saturday night. The Bruins defeated the Weyburn Red Wings 7-2 at Affinity Place; it was the second straight game in which they scored seven goals against their Highway 39 rivals.
