The Estevan Comprehensive School Elecs senior boys basketball team had a fair bit of success last weekend once again as they went 4-1 in five games in a tournament in Brandon, Man.

Players from the Weyburn Red Wings, Ben Hiltz, Todd Johnson and Rhett Frey, met with Rod Pedersen, who stopped in Weyburn on Thursday with copies of “Heart and Soul of the SJHL”.

The Estevan bantam Bears were the class of the Estevan Minor Hockey Association’s bantam house tournament this past weekend. The Bears defeated the Yorkton Traction Terriers 7-3 in the A final Sunday at Affinity Place.

If the Power Dodge Estevan Bruins explode like they did in the third period against the Weyburn Red Wings Saturday they’ll be a very tough team to beat in the post-Christmas part of the season.
