The Weyburn Comprehensive Eagles senior boys basketball team won the provincial 4A championship for the second year in a row, after winning both of their games at Hoopla on March 23 and 24.

A total of 16 teams, mostly from the southeast, descended on Affinity Place, the Power Dodge Ice Centre and Bienfait Arena for the annual Novice and Atom home tournament March 23-25.

The Estevan Wolves came from behind Tuesday night to win the South East Minor Hockey League's peewee championship. They beat the Radville Nationals's Red team 7-5 in Game 2 at the Power Dodge Ice Centre after entering the third period down 5-4.

The Southeast Vipers 14U team finished second in the province out of 25 teams in Regina at the Sask Cup 3 tournament held March 24-25.

It was a great weekend in the pool for the Estevan Sharks water polo program, as they travelled to Saskatoon with five teams for provincials and they all came home with medals.

Weyburn Synchro Stars Junior competitive athletes had a successful meet at the Diane Lemon Invitation Synchronized Swimming Meet, held at the Shaw Center in Saskatoon the weekend of March 3 and 4.
