The Weyburn Richardson Pioneer Gold Wings dropped a 7-0 decision to the Notre Dame Hounds on Sunday evening, when they hosted their toque and mitten toss.

Most millionaires aren’t particularly known for being all that generous, but the Melville Millionaires and the Power Dodge Estevan Bruins handed each other 4-2 wins in each other’s buildings in their last games before the Christmas break.

The Estevan Apex Bruins had little trouble disposing of a pair of visiting foes on the weekend. The Bruins (13-6-2) beat Moose Jaw 5-1 Saturday and the Regina Capitals 6-2 Sunday, taking both games handily.

The Southeast will rise again, in curling terms at least.

Christmas is the season for giving, and the Power Dodge Estevan Bruins and the Melville Millionaires exchanged a pair of 4-2 victories in each other's buildings this weekend.

There will be a strong southeast flavour at the provincial Scotties next year in Melfort.

Derek Beaubien a Grade 10 student at ACHS has had a great year playing football. The 15 year old O- Lineman has played on several teams this year in the tackle position.

The Estevan Sharks took well to the pool last weekend at Saskatchewan Water Polo Association Winter Provincials in Saskatoon, with teams coming home with several medals.

The Estevan Comprehensive School Elecs boys and girls curling teams weren’t able to get any wins out of a Moose Jaw bonspiel they went to but the young team is learning and going to be able to get better over a busy season.
