A trend of victories continues for Team South East, with two early victories on the baseball diamond.

The South East girls basketball team had an up and down opening to the Estevan 2016 Saskatchewan Summer Games.

The final four has been set in the Estevan 2016 Saskatchewan Summer Games baseball competition. Team Regina, Team Saskatoon, Team Prairie Central and Team South East will meet in the bronze medal and gold medal games at Cactus Park today.

Athletes from southeast Saskatchewan are competing in a variety of events on Day 2 of the 2016 Saskatchewan Summer Games in Estevan. Team South East remains at three medals, as of 2 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon.

The first medals have been handed out and each of the teams competing at the Estevan 2016 Saskatchewan Summer Games is beginning to learn where they stand. Champions have been declared in 14 disciplines in Athletics.

Team South East has won its first two medals at the 2016 Saskatchewan Summer Games in Estevan, and both came in athletics. Joelyn Welburn won silver in the female long jump event with a distance of 5.27 metres.

The 2016 Saskatchewan Summer Games has taken over Estevan.

The regular season for the Saskota Baseball League is finished, and now the top eight teams are preparing for the Harbourne Memorial Tournament, which will crown the league champion. The season concluded on Tuesday night with a trio of games.
