It was a busy day in the water during the Estevan Golden Eels Invitational Swim Meet on Saturday.

Team Southeast has officially been named for the 2016 Saskatchewan Summer Games in Estevan! To kick-off the Saskatchewan Games, Team Southeast will be hosting a Pep Rally on Sunday, July 17 at the Estevan Comprehensive School.

The need people have to come together and help their friends and family in times of hardship was proven once again this week with the support given to a flooded TS&M Woodlawn Golf Club.

The Wawota Lion’s 22 nd Annual Farmers’ Golf Tournament was once again a success. This year the event was hosted at the White Bear Lake Golf Course and welcomed 112 golfers out for the day, up from last year’s 108 participants.

The University of Regina Rams will play host to the Saskatchewan Huskies on Saturday, October 1, in what will be the first football game at the newly constructed Mosaic Stadium.

Eight baseball teams from around Canada will go head-to-head at Baseball Canada’s U21 Junior National Baseball Championship in Regina. The national tournament runs August 18 to 21.

Graham DeLaet will have an opportunity to represent Canada at the 2016 Olympics. Both David Hearn and Graham DeLaet are the top-ranked Canadian golfers, so were selected as Canadian representatives for male golf.
