The Senior Men's division of the Weyburn Golf Club concluded their golfing season on September 18 with an 18-hole mixer tournament, followed by a banquet at the Weyburn Golf Club.

The SJHL spotlight was focused squarely on the Estevan Bruins and Melville Millionares on Thursday, as the two teams kicked off the season in the only game of the night at the Horizon Credit Union Centre in Melville.

The Arcola senior girl's volleyball team held their home tournament on Sept. 14 and 15. The Panthers invited five other schools to the tournament including Carlyle, Stoughton, Manor, Midale, and Weyburn Jr.

As the Southeast Corner Racing Circuit (SCRC) nears the end of another season, riders are saving the best for last. Sept. 15 brought more than craft lovers to Carlyle, it brought in Moto-X enthusiasts as well.

It has been 197 days since the Estevan Bruins played their last meaningful game, and tonight they finally get back at it.

Riley Spencer left home in the hope of getting a baseball scholarship, and now he has reached that goal. The pitcher from Estevan is headed to Louisiana to play ball at the post-secondary level.

Felix Jimenez wasn't expecting a third round, but in the end, what he did in the first two spoke for itself. Jimenez beat Wade Baldwin by unanimous decision in an all-Estevan main event at Hard Knocks 28 on Saturday at Spectra Place.

The final roster decisions have yet to be made, but the Estevan Bruins look at the nucleus of their roster and see a team that can contend in the SJHL this year.

The Estevan Lions Club Steelers had been pushing on the floodgates for awhile and on Saturday, they finally burst open. The Steelers picked up their first win in two years in convincing fashion, stomping the Weyburn Falcons 68-8 on the road.

Alaina and Taliya Knight are in the midst of their 2012 drag racing season, as both racers recently competed in the "Big Buck Shootout" at the Saskatchewan International Raceway in Saskatoon on Sept. 15.
