The Estevan Sherritt Coal Haulers and TS&M Tornados are about to begin their respective baseball seasons. While the bantam Haulers and peewee Tornados are back for another year, there will be no mosquito AA team in Estevan this season.

Samantha Evans, aka Little Miss Sunshine, gets into her pink hobby stock racing car, specially made to advocate against bullying. Evans will be racing in her second year at the Estevan Motor Speedway this year.

Estevan football has reached another milestone. For the second straight year, players from the Estevan Comprehensive School Elecs will play in the prestigious Ed Henick Senior Bowl.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Weyburn held its annual fundraiser, Bowl for Kids Sake, on April 21 at the Superbowl. More than one hundred individuals played on one of fourteen teams.

The Weyburn Red Wings gathered, for one last time April 21 at McKenna Hall in Weyburn, to hand out hardware at the annual banquet and awards night.

On August 18th, 2012, the Lampman A's senior men's baseball team will be inducted into the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame in the team category. The event will take place in North Battleford at the Alex Dillabough Centre.

The South East Saskatchewan Roller Derby Association and the Hillbilly Hurt held their first-ever roller derby event in Estevan on Saturday. By all accounts, the evening was a positive step forward for the organization.

Synchro club earns two golds in duet competition
