Though this column is published Friday, I'm writing it Tuesday, the day before school starts. The day before the last first day of school. Ever. I'm in my undergraduate year, and who knows if I'll continue on with some more education someday.

Talk about roughing somebody up and taking their lunch money.

If it were simply a matter of where a political party leader was from, election results would be a lot different, wouldn't they? Take the 2011 Saskatchewan provincial election in which the NDP were wiped off the map in rural Saskatchewan.

With the Quebec election all wrapped up, and the Parti Quebecois holding minority power in the province, sovereignty is in the air.

At lower levels of hockey, particularly in Junior A, it's important for reporters and coaches to develop a healthy working relationship. The team and the media both need each other, and the sooner both sides realize that, the better.
