As children across the province head back to school, parents turn their attention to the question of how to help a struggling child achieve success.

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of (Robert) Ivan Beare of Fillmore, September 3, 2016, at the Pasqua Hospital at the age of 86 years.

The family of Mabel Hannah Charlton (nee Vipond) is sad to report that she passed away peacefully at Crocus Plains Villa on September 1, 2016 at the age of 95. Mabel was born in Griffin, May15, 1921.

Evelyn Jean Logel passed away peacefully, Thursday, September 8, 2016 after a courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). Evelyn was predeceased by her parents: Fred and Eleanor Duce; sister Irene Griemann; son William John (Jack) Logel.

Three members of the Weyburn Hurricanes water polo club recently competed at the western and national finals. Nick Mass and Ruslan Edgerton competed with the under-16 boys team at the western and national championships.
