SaskEnergy will be conducting training exercises in Weyburn on Monday, May 9th and Tuesday, May 10th involving a controlled flare of natural gas. The training will be taking place at SaskEnergy’s Weyburn Town Border Station #1 – located 1.

The KidSport organization continues to help children participate in organized sports in Weyburn and area. KidSport representative Brenda Croft provided an update to members of the Weyburn Rotary Club.

Saskatchewan’s big game draw for hunters opens online May 1, with a new application deadline of midnight on May 25. This is seven days earlier than last year’s May 31 deadline.

A new app has been designed to help Canadians prepare for emergencies and disasters. The app, called Be Ready, was launched by the Canadian Red Cross across the country, with the Saskatchewan rollout happening in Regina.

Sun Country Health Region is participating in the Canadian Mental Health Association’s (CMHA) Mental Health Week from May 2-8.
