The Weyburn Wrestling Club wrapped up another successful season with its annual banquet and awards night on May 1.

Roger Marcotte, late of Weyburn, passed away April 18, 2016, at the age of 81 years.

Barry Brent Robinson, passed away on April 19, 2016 at the age of 68 years. He was predeceased by his father, Alvin Robinson; wife, Karen Robinson; brother, Lawrence Robinson; sister, Colette Anton and mother-in-law, Helen Collins.

Eyjolina “Lena” Aline Ivan, passed away peacefully on Monday April 25, 2016 at the age of 93 years.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ed (Copper) Babiarz, on Thursday April 21, 2016, at the age of 77, with his family by his side; he lost his struggle with cancer.

Wilfred Alexander Bennett , 1933~2016 Wilfred “Fred” Alexander Bennett, age 82 years, passed away peacefully, Sunday, April 17, 2016 after a long battle with cancer.

The Jean McCulloch Memorial Junior Piano Competition will be held in Weyburn on Saturday, May 14 from 9 a.m. to noon and 1-4 p.m. at the T.C. Douglas Centre.

Over 500 students attended the south division tournament for the National Archery in School Program tournament. This event was hosted by the Weyburn Wildlife Federation at the Tom Zandee Sports Arena on Saturday.
