The annual Red Cross Pink Shirt Day was held on April 1. The campaign is intended to bring awareness to bullying in Saskatchewan and to encourage both awareness and action to this social issue.

Members of the Weyburn KidSport committee were on hand at the Leisure Centre to receive a donation from Norman and Shirley Mondor on March 31. The Mondors are donating a total of $10,000.00 to KidSport in memory of their grandson, Matthew Mondor.

The Weyburn Cobra Wrestling Club sent ten wrestlers to the Freshie-Bantam Provincial Championships in Prince Albert on March 28. Weyburn Wrestlers came away with five gold, three silver and one bronze medal.

Archery Club to host 3D Fun Shoot

The Weyburn Wildlife Federation Archery Club will be hosting an Indoor 3D Fun Shoot on April 11 starting at 9:00 a.m. The event will take place at the indoor range located in Goodwater (about a 30 minutes south of Weyburn).

Police kept busy with domestic situations

On March 28, the Weyburn Police Service were called to a residence to remove an unwanted guest. Upon arrival, the police learned that there had been a party earlier and when it concluded, the homeowner did not want the person to remain for the night.
