One person died following a collision on Highway 39 6 kilometres north of Yellow Grass the evening of August 5. Milestone RCMP responded to the accident, which occurred around 6 p.m.

Weyburn Police Service welcomed a new officer on July 31. Kalin Wiebe has been working on dispatching and records management for the past two months at the station and will start regular patrol as a constable upon his return from police college.

Work has officially begun at 1800 Ebel Road on the second phase of the Wor-Kin Shop building project. "DSI Contracting began construction of the new Day Program Building in late June" said Andria Brady, Wor-Kin Shop executive director.

The Government of Saskatchewan has appointed Judge James Plemel as Chief Judge of the Provincial Court of Saskatchewan. The appointment takes effect January 1, 2015, following the conclusion of Chief Judge Carol Snell's term.
